This resignation letter can be used when an employee is unexpectedly taking early retirement due to health, workplace, or personal circumstances.
Due to a combination of personal, economic, and health-related events, I am opting to take early retirement at this time. Please consider this letter to be my two weeks’ notice.
I never expected to retire at this age or stage of my career, but this is truly the best move for me and my family.
