With work-from-home positions and location flexibility becoming more common, this resignation letter is a chance to let an employer know that someone is leaving due to a preference or need to not go in to a workplace daily.
If there’s one thing the last year and a half has taught me, it’s that time is precious. It is for this reason that I must resign.
I have secured a new job that will allow me to work from home. During the height of the pandemic, when XYZ Company staff was working remotely, my productivity increased. You even agreed that my numbers were great and there was little need for me to be in the office. It’s unfortunate that the company policy remains inflexible on this issue.
I will miss the team at XYZ, but I’m looking forward to no commute and more time with my family. I’m open to discussing my perspective if you would find it helpful as the company moves forward. I believe my resignation is one of several this week alone.
