The Great Resignation includes many people who realized that commutes and the corporate rat race aren't worth their mental health. This letter template lays out reasons for resigning.
Dear Mr./Ms. Bossname,
Well, it looks like I’m the latest member of The Great Resignation. The pandemic, and the ability to work from home, have taught me that life is short and my priority is my family and my mental well-being. I feel that I have done a good job for XYZ Company, but I can no longer justify working full-time in the office under the current conditions. Please accept my resignation, with two weeks’ notice given.
As you know, I’ve spoken with you as well as HR about these issues on multiple occasions. If XYZ Company ever reevaluates is policy regarding flex time, working from home, mandatory overtime, and the other issues I outlined, I would be open to returning.
Regardless, thank you for your support and mentorship over the years. I will miss you and the team at XYZ.
