Dear Mr./Ms. Bossname,
This letter is to affirm that I am resigning, effective Oct. 31 of this year.
I am being forced to resign based on reasoning given by my supervisor, Jerry Supername, who stated that I did not meet the sales goals for the quarter.
I disagree with this decision. I met or exceeded all sales metrics, and in fact secured twelve new contracts in the last two months alone. Moreover, the metric was not properly explained to me, with no warnings or guidance given by management.
As a result of this forced resignation, I will be leaving behind several unfinished tasks. This includes the Johnson Project as well as the Peterson contract, which still must be signed.
Please ensure that my banked vacation pay is paid out, and that my retirement accounts can be smoothly rolled over.
Thank you for the opportunity to work with this company.
