I regret to inform you that I will be joining the legions of workers who are resigning rather than being forced to return to a full-time office setting.
Remote work has been lifechanging for myself and my family, from the reduced commute to increased work-life balance. Most significantly, it has become clear that we can work even more efficiently from home. And, thanks to Zoom, Slack, and other technology, we remain connected to our coworkers. Our team just finished out the most successful quarter in recent memory.
It is truly a shame that I must resign from a position that I have enjoyed. I imagine you can expect many more letters like mine as the RTO order continues to roll out. I have attached to this email for your review a recent article from the Washington Post regarding the trend toward workers resigning rather than returning to the office full-time.
