I am resigning from the company, effective in two weeks’ time. I am happy to stay on up to an additional two weeks if you would like me to train my replacement.
As you know, the cost of living in our city has gone up a staggering amount in the last two years. Since my cost-of-living raise request was denied, I can no longer afford to work at such a low salary. I am hopeful that you will reconsider this policy before more people are forced to leave as well.
